Paul Wood (left), the world champion sprint and gold
medalist
of both road and sprint events at the Deaf World Games,
earned a silver medal from the time trial event.
Wood recently resigned from his professional status
to devote more time to his newlywed wife and baby son.
His son is named after a famed Tour de France winner,
Lance Armstrong of USA. Despite a strong field of
professional riders, Wood won many respective places.
